Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Ahhhh, Sunday!

Good Morning Sistahs!!!!

Ahhhhhh Sunday the one day I get to sleep in! And I did too. At least until 6:10am. :D Went to bed just a tad past 10pm last night, played with Shade for a bit and went out just like my light did. I remember laying down and that's it. I didn't even wake for a potty run. I thought I was gonna pay for that though! You should have seen me trying to get out of bed and into the bathroom without springing a leak!!! I made tho!!! Whew!

Brrrrr it's chilly out there this morning, 18 degrees. I have no freaking idea where the heck Yahoo weather gets their temp readings from? Not very often tho that mine and theirs match. I guess even Shade thought it was a little to cold to this morning? She didn't waste any time getting out in the yard to do her business and back up on the porch. LOL Now had there been snow out there? That would have been a whole different story. I probably would have had a time of it getting her to come inside! She loves the snow. Likes to roll in it, scrub her chest and belly in it and then she buries her face and head in it and plows a furrow across the yard. Silly dog ends up looking like a miniature start to a snowman. Then comes in and drips snow all over the place!

Nothing planned here except work of course. I like going in at noon but sure do hate getting out at 9pm. Try to grab something to eat and then get to bed to get back up at 5:30am Monday morn. Think I'm getting a little burned out? Got ornery with a couple of customers yesterday on the phone as I was doing a couple of take overs. When we talk to a customer and can not set up a payment we have to get another agent on the phone to see if they can get the payment. Well the woman that sits next to me needed take overs and I got evil with one of them. Finally told the woman that I honestly and truly didn't care if she made a payment or not. That it really didn't bother me or hurt "me" in any way. That if she didn't care about her account and credit history/rating? Then that was her problem. grrrr Poor Lyn looked at me and said "Your getting tire too, huh?" LOLOLOL Gotta love it tho! At least it's a job.

Ok have eggs, corned beef hash, toast and a whole lot of coffee this morning. Who's interested????

Hope everyone has a fantastic day and be sure to stay safe...

Love to all

Good Morning!

I'm moving slowly,... very slowly. Still on first cuppa, and it is great. Savoring every drop!

So here is my weekend story,... the huge ice storm that hit the northeast went south and east of us. Good. But, it hammered central VT, MA and ME. Our bluegrass weekend was cancelled as the theater in central VT is without power so cold and dark. Sad because it was a benefit performance by four bands to help with medical expenses for a band member's mother. So i ended up home this weekend.

New plan: I changed directions and traveled north to Beekmantown, north of Plattsburgh to see my granddaughter's basketball game. Lovely huge fairly new school. Our team was a bit out classed in the speed dept. They also had a player with a dead-on eye who scored 23 pts. Our J.V. girls lost by a still respectable margin. We were glad it was a non-league game. However, our varsity girls reversed the story and won by a large margin. As Scarlett says,... "tomorrow is another day!" :D Our J.V. will rise again!

Today will be put up the tree, get the village out,... and other Christmas decorations. My friend Kathy will come for dinner as I have a real treat,.. my son brought me some venison,.. oooohhhh, so good!

Have a great Sunday all!

good morning, good morning, good morning
I love corned beef hash and fried eggs (soft) it is so good! Thanks Echo.
Got the christmas tree out yesterday, gotta dig out the other tub of xmas
decorations from the shed and hopefully my extension cord is in there for
my lights. When all is said and done, I'll get a pic and post it.
Got alot of extra stuff done yesterday, sorted out some boxes of old papers,
and other extra stuff put in the understorage. I am certainly getting re-organized,
and it feels good. Its cloudy and rainy out today, hopefully it will clear up enough
to get out in the yard and do poop patrol. I know, I should have done it yesterday
but I was on a roll with the papers so I didn't want to stop.
Washer is about done so time to get the next load ready and then I can head for
the laundry room to use the dryers. Have a great day and stay safe.

Good morning! Oh, I'm hungry, your breakfast sounds wonderful. I've not fixed anything yet, nor a hot drink so I'd better get to it.

It's chilly here too -- 12 below zero! The forecast is for us to get up to zero, well, maybe. We have light snow falling and wind so the windchill is unbelievable. I don't even want to know. The 2 furnaces are running, probably non-stop and it's ok in here 55 up front and warmer in the back. We just turned on the electric heater so that should help. The window frames are all iced over so I'll open the shades a little to allow the air to melt them, if they will, could be they won't melt until we hit higher temps. We are in for a very long cold spell. We won't get above freezing until late in the week. Gee, maybe I'll get some sewing done!

I hope everyone is well, warm and has power. Thankfully we've not had a power outage from the window but I'm not going to hold my breath. During our last big storm we lost power for several hours.

Keep warm and the coffee cup full!

Good Morning all - actually here while it's still morning :)

I was sleeping in this morning when someone knocked on my door (7:20 am) - she's unhappy and decided to give her notice (a workamper here) and she and her husband are going to head down the road. She just needed to talk. We talked a bit in here, then I told her to wait while I dressed and brushed my teeth - and we took our talk on the road - walking - as Peaches was good for only so long, then decided if we were up, she needed potty time.

Came back and took a bottle of wine to one of my neighbors. I bought it for when she got her new trailer, which she got a couple weeks ago - then discovered last night that I must have never given it to her, as I still have it LOL - so took it over and talked to her for awhile. Came back, dumped tanks, cleaned my potty and shower - and next knock on the door was Sparkle.

I had kept my toenails a fairly bright blue all summer and fall (did it for Memorial Day and just kept redoing the same). But for weeks now I'd been planning to change to silver for Christmas. Sparkle had silver polish and brought it over, so I'm now sitting here waiting for my toe nails to dry.

Have presents that need wrapping - it's our employee dinner and Christmas party tomorrow night - we each drew names - so I have that and a few others - intend to get everything wrapped today and ready. But before I do that, I'm checking my fridge for any fruits or vegies about to go bad - have been eating out so much, that my food is wasting - and I try to never let that happen - so will probably throw some interesting combination into the crockpot in a few.

Have a great day all!

Afternoon, already! I've been up since about 5:00 am, first captivated by Egyptian history for several hours, and now totally rapt by raptors, so to speak...so many science documentaries about dinosaurs this morning. I really want to ski, but am combining this fascinating TV history with making a huge vat of turkey soup to last me for a long time!

I gave in and put up my black sunflower seed bird feeder as I saw so many chickadees landing on the deck railing, begging! I hate to start that because the red squirrels always raid it, and hang out all winter long when it's above zero at all. Molly then tries to dig through the door to catch them!

While I was out there, I startled a deer who was pawing for grass beneath the snow, but she stood her ground and kept on eating!

I've had just coffee so far today, saving something to eat for when the soup is done!

Happy Sunday to you all!

Good afternoon everyone. I'm home from church and have to go to a Power Squadron (safe boating organization) Christmas party this afternoon, so peeked in here to catch up on the last 2 days. Echo, I haven't had corned beef hash for breakfast since I was a kid back on the farm in NH. Ya brought back memories. My mother also made "red flannel hash" which had beets in it. I don't care for beets so the "red flannel" wasn't popular with me.

Cedar, glad the ice storm missed you. I can't get ahold of my brother at his camp in NH...answering machine doesn't pick up either, so I suspect they may be without power. I left a message on his cell phone voice mail, so when he can get out to get that service, maybe he'll call and update me. My sister in MA was south of the ice storm, so no damage there, but much of the area has significant damage according to the news.

Ok, I'm off to read up on everybody.
