Vickie, the last few years the Lafayette RV show has been set up at Cajun Field which is what they call the parking lot across from the Cajun Dome. They set up a tent that you have to enter through and a few vendors are set up there but not too interesting to me. A few campgrounds and vendors promoting certain things. Most are trying to get you to enter to win something. They are just trying to get your phone number so they can bug you with membership campgrounds and "free" travel offers.

Sometime during the year there is an outdoor/hunting exposition that is set up in the convention center next to the Cajun Dome. I haven't been to that in a while but it was mostly boats, hunting and fishing vendors.

Thanks for the heads up, Martha. I think we'll pass, I'm not interested in membership deals either. We've been to the hunting/fishing/outdoor shows in the past also, but not since Ronnie had a wheelchair tire blowout and everybody started ducking, thinking somebody was shooting!
