Chilly Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Chilly Tuesday

Postby dayspring39 » Tue Mar 06, 2012 6:54 am

Good Morning Ladies... burrr a bit chilly this morning 52 but soon it will warm up... I am up early praying for my daughter Jackie as she goes into surgery this morning for removal of a tumor on her thyroid...
Yesterday my son called from Miami he and my grandson Mark are headed for Columbia again... well they are there now! lol... Chuck will be there for a week setting up the heat treat and Mark will be there three weeks working with the local workers on the computer system... neither speak Spanish so it is a challenge even though they have an interpreter... What an awesome experience for both of them but especially for Mark...
I will do laundry this morning providing there are washers... so far when ever I go over there there are at least two left so I am fine... I cleaned yesterday but sadly to say it really does not do much good!!!
I have not made coffee yet but if you stop by I will gladly make tea or coffee which is ever to your liking... tell us about your day...

Good Morning Kathleen and those who follow,

Actually Kath, your 52 would feel very balmy here right now as you know how it goes when you have been in the cold weather and then the warm air starts to filter in. We are at 20 this morning, but I am happy to say, that spring is on the way slow but sure. Highs for this week and into next are to be in the 40's and possibly low 50's. Maybe some rain showers tomorrow afternoon, but otherwise sunshine.

I happy to report that Tessa, my one "furkid" survived her dental cleaning yesterday. She did however lose a tooth to a cavity. She is recovering slowly here at home. Sleeping most of the time. The vet warned me about not letting her drink or eat too much at a time when she got home yesterday. No worry about that, as she has been drinking a little at a time and her appetite hasn't come back yet. At one point after we got home yesterday, I thought she was going to fall asleep with her nose in the water bowl  She isn't quite a disoriented this morning, but I am just going to let her rest and come around at her own speed. She's still turning her nose up at food, especially her favorite Jerky sticks and some ground beef, but eventually she will get hungry. Poor baby. Told her that she is going to have to find a job after she feels better, in order to pay the bill for all this  It ain't cheap :|

Nothing special on my agenda today. Have a load of clothes in the washer and will run the vac around the house in a little while. Probably take Sassy for a walk later on today. Maybe over to the park and maybe not. Depending on how windy it gets. And want to work on my Spring welcome sign project for awhile. It's coming together nicely. Will probably start the Summer one when I am done with this one.

Wishing you all a wonderful day. Hope all those at the TX GTG are enjoying some nice weather for the couple of days they have left.

Good morning, all. It's a beautful am here in sunny Sarasota. The humidity is way down, the clouds have disappeared and the wind has blown away. Had a great visit with Carolyn (sunshinecruisertn) yesterday. She drove over to Sun n Fun and I borrowed a golf cart to take her for cruise around the grounds. I tell people we're like a little city here, but until you see it  Afterwards, tGM and I took her to lunch at a funky outdoor restaurant on the bay for fish and music, then off to the Selby Botanical Gardens and a tour of St. Armand's Circle and Lido Beach. Hopefully, tGm will post pictures on the blog and maybe Carolyn will post pics when she gets a better connection. Am leaving to visit gk's on Thursday and am planning to visit Carolyn in Ft. Myers when I return. Hope everyone has a good day. carold

Kathleen -- prayers for your daughter.

Work and school - fun times here. Why did I think it was a good idea to go back to school at my age???? Two more classes and I'm done! (PS I always get this crazy at the end of a term... so two more times of total insanity)

good morning ladies, up early as usual but got hit with a migraine so back to bed I went after
taking a bit of aspirin with my coffee. Laid down for about 20 minutes and suddenly the aspirin
kicked in and no more migraine, mostly, anyway. Still feel a little thumping but that will go
away too. Went to Walmart yesterday to get some hair color so that is the agenda at the
moment. Ten more minutes and I can wash it out ;) . The rest of the day, whatever I
want, the whole day is mine. Ya'll have a good one and I'm off to catch up on a few posts.

Good morning
Just a really quick check-in this AM as my to do list is totally out of hand.
Prayers for your daughter, Kath.
As far as I can tell, my house escaped farther damage in last Friday's tornados. Have got to get someone out to check roof at sister's house for hail damage tho. They had softball size hail out that way; only pea size on my end of town. I've also got to get estimates for replacing my living room ceiling (roof leak just after Christmas).
As soon as I can get a few more urgent things out of the way, I'm going to take Nicky to meet Magic and hopefully get both of us a little practice leash walking. I really hope he takes to this as I want him to travel with me.
Carol (Carolinagal) called around 3:00 yesterday to let me know she stopped for night in Ringgold so could get her rig serviced at Freightliner there (Ocala dealer did not have filters she needed). She is very close to home.
Wishing everyone a fun day.

It's a few minutes before noon here, so I'm still good with saying GOOD MORNING!

The usual crew was here this morning and another work crew; our boss also stopped in for a while. Barely spoke with him, as he had a meeting, but he always asks if we need him for anything before he leaves. So glad to be away from the days of micro-management!

It's fairly sunny here today but still rather chilly. The next couple of days are supposed to be actually Spring-like before dropping down into chilly temps over the weekend. I'm headed to the main office about 1.5 hours from here Friday to teach a CPR class and I'm hoping the rain holds off. Last time I went down there, it was raining . . . yuck.

Awaiting word this morning on the twin bed set arriving so I can go pick it up. Looking forward to setting up our cozy daybed arrangement.

Reconnected with a g/f from my Exxon days via Facebook. We've having a ball catching up with our lives over the years we were out of touch.

Other than that, doing some photo work on Photobucket for the demolition company Web site.

Just another day in the 'hood around here!

Have a good one!

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

It's windy here in Orlando, but not too cold. It's actually warm in the sun, but that heavy duty wind makes it feel much cooler than it is.

Happy to hear the Beth is feeling better----it's not fun being a party pooper, literally, or figuratively! Leave it to Bobby to come up with that nomenclature!

I will be thinking of your daughter today, Kath, and hope she finds good news and has a speedy recovery. Your son and grandson are off on a fun adventure---hope they have good weather and take lots of pics to share with you!

It's only 17 above zero back at my winter house, so I imagine Sue's place is not much warmer today. Happy to hear that Tessa is feeling a bit more coherent today. I know it took Dinah a few days to regain her spry self after her spaying anesthesia.

Carol, I am thinking too early to get that trailer out yet! But maybe you know your weather better than I!

Shirl, sorry about the weather where you are. Don't fret about the GTG----plenty of us to worry about that with you when we get there! YES----I reserved site # 15 for me from April 24th through April 30th this morning! It's a back-in site, so I do hope I can manage to get my trailer in there without too much of a tantrum! I asked to be near the little pond, which that site is....no pull-throughs were available, so I went for the pond. If all goes well, I should maybe be able to actually get there on my way home. If the weather conditions back there will allow me to pull into my driveway, I will aim for that date to begin my trip north.

Feeling slightly better myself today after a nasty day of a return to my former gut problems yesterday. So far I haven't eaten anything, however, so we shall see what happens when I eat some lunch now.

Happy Tuesday to you all, wherever you may be.

HELLO SISTAHS!!!

Well I was gonna post in here earlier but got off on a tangent of reading and catching up on the other posts. Would still have been after noon but it would also have been much closer to 11:59am!

The sun is shining it's little heart out and the temp itself is really nice but the freaking wind is blowing big time!!! Blasted wind! I will NOT miss the wind here! Grr Temp inside the trailer is good tho. We didn't turn the heaters on last night until about 11pm. This morning it was just fine in here with just my heater at my end of the trailer. I asked Kelly when she had shut down the heater here on the table but she said it had popped it's breaker about 5hrs before I got up and that she just didn't bother with it. Now tonight and tomorrow might be a whole different story? Kelly said that wunderground says that there's a 30 or 40% of snow! GADS!!! I've had enough of that nasty stuff. Gonna make sure to fill up our water jugs and dump the tank today. I don't want to be crawling around out there to dump the tank in the snow if we get it. ~sigh~

Haven't got the trailer lights fixed yet. They are being buggers! Poor Dwayne gave up on Sunday as he had to go home and yesterday he had to report to his new job. Haven't heard from him today so maybe they put him straight to work yesterday after his physical? But anyway rather than him fighting with these stupid lights anymore I have made up my mind to have him run new temp wires straight from the tail/break lights on the truck under the trailer and into the lights on the back of the trailer. Have a ? break in the new temp wires so that I can twist and tape them together when we hook up to leave. I don't plan on unhooking the truck until we get to Pigeon Forge TN so the new temp wires should be just fine. If for any reason I do have to unhook I can just pull the tape off and untwist the wires. Then David can play with the wires this summer. Stopped yesterday at a place about 7mls from here to see if they had a rim to fit the trailer. The have a ? RV graveyard out back and sell/rent used RV's and mobile homes. He wasn't sure but said he thinks he might have the rim I need at his house. Sure hope his back yard doesn't have an RV grave yard too!!!! Just the rim I need!

Went to the storage room yesterday and did more sorting and tossing. Have now got myself down to 7 banana boxes and tent camping gear. I am sooo proud of myself. Actually one of the boxes belongs to my x-DIL and I will take it home to TN and make sure she gets it back. One other box is full of hard cover books that I am super torn over. I sunk a good bit of change into buying them and don't really want to get rid of them. They are reference books of a sort not fiction and a few of them would probably be miserable if not next to impossible to get a hold of again if I wanted them. ~sigh~ So all in all I have 7 boxes, a large cooler, 2 sewing machines, a spare tire and tent camping stuff left. Everything we have left that we are keeping can fit into the back of the truck with no problem. I am gonna grab a plastic pallet from the storage place to put the boxes and sewing machines on and cover will with a couple of tarps. Am almost junk free. Told Kelly that if we had a different/newer trailer we would have storage in it rather than use the back of the truck. ~someday!~

Plans for today??? Probably laundry as I want to get it all done up and then sorted. Will decide what to keep and or donate then. YEWHAW!!

Hope everyone has an awesome day. Have lots of fun, drive safe and be careful.

Love to all

Beautiful weather here at the TX GTG. Hard to find time to enjoy it right now, but the company is great.

I have been busy going through and organizing "stuff" to make transition to a new-to-me RV easier. Yesterday Birdie took me (Colleen came too as moral support and adviser) to Houston to look at some RVs. I made an offer on a small Class C pending an inspection. Will know something by the end of the week and will save the details until I know for sure. I'm still overwhelmed by all the support and offers I have received. Thanks to all.

I am praying for your daughter, Kathleen.

Liz - I'm glad you found something. And I'm sorry that stupid work got in the way of me meeting up with y'all to add to the support.
