SOLD!!

For Sale: 2010 Advanced Elements, AdvancedFrame Inflatable Kayak.

Includes a Carrying Duffel Bag, Repair Kit, Folding Seat, Two-way pump. This is too heavy for me to carry around and I want to get the lighter weight Advanced Element inflatable.

I bought it here (for comparison purposes): http://www.austinkayak.com/products/691 ... Kayak.html

See photos here: https://picasaweb.google.com/kc5cbz/Kay ... -Hr0_LC6wE

The following is copied from the book.

The AdvancedFrame (registered Trade mark) is a hybrid of a folding frame kayak and an inflatable kayak. Its bow slices through water like a knife and rivals the trackability of hardshell kayaks. The stern acts as a skeg, increasing the tracking performance. It uses extremely durable materials and high-end components. There is plenty of on-board storage room for extended trips. It sets up in just a few minutes and is compact enough to take along on a weekend adventures.

(PATENTED)

Special Features:
Hull Design: Built-in aluminum ribs define the bow and stern and improve tracking.
Durable: 3 layers of material for extreme puncture resistance.
Easy to Set Up: PreAssembled at the factory. Simply unfold, inflate and attach the seat.
Comfortable: High Supply, adjustable padded seat provides comfort for hours of paddling.
Style: Looks and paddles similar to a rigid hard-shell kayak with the portability of an inflatable.

Specs:
Model: AE1012-R (I believe)

Width: 32”

Birdie - how much do you want for it?

Reading about everyone's inflatables has got me interested - if I can get in and out of one with my knees. I have both artificial knees.

Maggie, I don't know how you are about getting up from low positions....My first time was pretty funny, but after a few times, I get in and out pretty well. However, I am still using the first go round of knees!! So i can't answer that for you. We are at Goliad State park today and headed for Aransas Wildlife Refuge Sunday then on down to Rockport. The Copano Bay would be a good spot for you to try it out if you could make it over this way.

I am PMing you with other informaiton.

I was hoping I could head towards Rockport for the day this weekend then realized that would be almost 9 hours on the road I hope you can find a taker for your kayak, but if you still have it (and are still in TX) after the middle of the month, maybe we can get together then.

Maggie, I'll be in OK for a few days and then back to Texas. If that kayak doesn't float away to someone we will try it out. Would be great to put in on the paddling trail (lighthouse) between Port A and Aransas Pass. Bunch of little islands to see out there.

I will be back in town on the 18th. Maybe the following weekend we can get together if the yak is still floating around.
