Just got this off Pinterest the other day and made it Friday evening for a tasty snack. Took tortillas and cut them in strips. I actually took my kitchen scissors and cut the stack of 3 tortillas into strips. then had a cookie sheet lined with tinfoil. dipped the strips in melted butter and laid them on the cook sheet and sprinkled with cinnamon/sugar. Baked in oven at 350 for about 10 minutes. Very easy and quite tasty. Have no idea what the calories are, food value or anything like that.

I had to laugh - after reading the post, I was wondering how I could calculate the numbers. Decided I couldn't. Then I saw your post, Carol!!!

Make sure you use flour tortillas! And also good - but not as healthy - is coating the tortilla in cinamon and sugar, then frying them - oh God, just like at the carnivals, etc - I won't do that because I hate the grease splatter, but Jean used to make them all the time and always was nice and would bring me one.
Almost as good is baking them - have done that for years - whole and cut up - tasty, for sure.
My mom used to do that with extra pie crust -

what memories you brought up! My mom made her pie crust and always managed to have some left over to bake strips for us kids. I think she just sprinkled sugar on them. But so tasty.
These remind me a bit (taste wise) of those cinnamon pastries at Taco Villa (churros?) Another way to do this and have a flaky cinnamon goodie is to use the frozen puff pastry dough cut in strips.
Pastry is my weakness!

Ah Ha! NOW you're talking. I can make anything as long as it starts out pre made and frozen.
