Crock Pot Cheaters Chicken Cacciatore

This will be in my Crock pot this afternoon...It's simple and no standing over the stove doing the long draw version out..LOL My Motto .."Make it Simple...and get out of town " LOL...

Enjoy.. God Bless
Zeee

6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves ( I use frozen) and I've used light and dark meat too...and all frozen :) makes it even easier..ie..thighs are great with breasts adds flavor

1 (28 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce (yep you can cheat)
2 green bell pepper, seeded and cubed ( I use green, red and yellow strips of peppers)
8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 onion, cut in half and sliced..
2 tablespoons minced garlic (you can use jar)
I use some Pisano chianti or what ever dry red wine you like
Put the chicken in the slow cooker. Top with the spaghetti sauce, green bell peppers,
mushrooms, onion and garlic. Cook on low for 7 to 9 hours. Serve!

Using frozen chicken helps with this dish cooking it so long..but if you use fresh
chicken I'd cook it on high for 3 to 4 hours...your choice..what works for you :)

Remember not all crock pots cook the same so check your time according to how your Crock pot works best...Oh and I always use Liners...if you don't spray crockpot first before cooking
cuts down on cleaning :)

Serve either with Penne Pasta or Thin Spaghetti...

This comes out very tasty...I even put a splash of wine in..just for authentic flavor
but this is so simple and easy to do..and why not give it a try

Sounds good and easy - my kind of cooking lately. You posted it just in time as I am having overnight company Sunday and had not decided what to feed them. Think this is going to be what they get.
