Ingredients

2 (16oz) containers sour cream
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
2 (3oz) bags real bacon bits
2 packages Ranch Dip mix
1 large bag frozen hash brown potatoes (shredded)

Directions

1. Lightly grease and pre heat a 12” Dutch Oven to 400°F (10 coals on bottom, 19 coals on top)
2. In a large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients, and then mix in hash browns.
3. Spread this mixture into the Dutch Oven when it is ready. ( I usually give it 6-8 mins.)
4. Bake at 400°F for 45-60 minutes. ( will need a second set of coals)

Just place in a 9x13 inch pan for the oven at home. Check about 50 mins. into baking.
Called crack potatoes because they are addicting

How do you translate that recipe to use in a normal oven? Sounds awesome!

And they really are addicting! Thanks for putting the recipe here. How would you adjust the coals and time for a half recipe in a 10" DO?

Liz, I would use 17 coals on top and 8 on bottom. Start checking at about 40 mins. Once you start to smell it you are close to done.

Those potatoes were one of my favorite dishes along with pumpkin bread pudding.
