salad

The other day when I was out with the 'old' folks
we had a picnic and one of the salads served was a beet/carrot salad
which seems strange...but turned out so yummy
no actual recipe so hey you can make it your own!
looked like equal parts of shredded carrots (about a medium shred) and shredded beets..
then a vinaigrette made out of balsamic vinegar and oil she said she makes it herself and depending
some times put onions in it or tomatoes just what is on hand uses a food processor ..so if you like beets
might give it a try

Were the beets cooked or raw?
Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar and fat.

cooked don't know if they were fresh home grown or canned already shredded ones..sorry didn't think to ask
that question...

I've only had raw beets once ...in a Mediterranean style tossed salad..really good they have an sorta earthy flavor
