get a box of Angel Food cake mix (pay no attention to the directions on the box)
add a lg can (20 oz) of crushed pineapple. Don't drain it.
Stir it together til mixed, pour it in a 9 x 13 cake pan and cook. 350* for 30 min.
It was delicious :D

And even better if you add the mandarin oranges:

oh wow, you posted that one back in 2008, didn't know about the mandarin but that sounds like a good additive
to the cake.

Do you cut down on the pineapple if you add the oranges?

Notice my recipe didn't give a size for the can of pineapples. Use whatever size you'd like. You don't have to cut down, though, up to you.

I just saw this recipe on FB and the instructions said mix by hand, in the comments someone had asked if they could use a spoon instead of their hands to mix it

Another comment suggested poking holes in the cake while still warm and pour a can of sweetened condensed milk over the top, when cool top with whipped cream or cool whip and a bit of coconut for a pina colata taste.

Saw another variation that uses a can of apple pie filling. Then you serve it topped with whipped cream and caramel topping.

Is that instead of the pineapple and oranges? Just pie filling mixed with the cake mix?
