Hope you don't mind, Zeee - but I merged it with the rest of the 3-2-1 cake recipes. Sounds good.

Reading this with much interest. Is it the angel food mix that is the key ingredient? Our son is vegan so I'm always looking for special goodie baking recipes that do not use eggs. This would also be a great idea to serve up at our "finger food friday" buffet at the RVW rallies especially if I can make it in ...say..cheap paper cups in the microwave at the park. Add fresh fruit and whipped cream -yummm Must look for angel food cake mix very soon. Thanks!

I found a way to change the flavor of my 3-2-1 cakes without having dozens of mixes. I just added a splash of my (sugarfree) Torani Syrup for some of the water - and voila, that flavor goes right into the mix. Yummy, too! I only have the peppermint flavor right now, but can see myself purchasing some of the others - so many ways they can be used, and right now, flavoring my 3-2-1 cake is a good enough reason for me.

And, yes, the angel food cake mix is the critical ingredient to make this work.
