Martha, would love to have your peach cobbler recipe! Always looking for a good recipe for that.

This sounds good. I use the SF cake when I make my peach "cobbler" (dump cake) in the dutch oven. DBF is diabetic so we've leaned up the recipe from a sugar standpoint - so far no intestinal issues.

I would probably try this with the SF cake if I can find a flavor other than yellow.

Walmart today had devils food in SF as well as yellow, but not a sf angel food. Even though the website I found has higher prices, I think I'm going to get a few of their sf cake mixes - as I like Splenda, and that's what they use and they have sf angel food mix.

Try this with Dutch Chocolate with fresh raspberries and cool whip on top. It is sinfully scrumptious!!! :D

And strawberry cake topped with fresh strawberries and whipped topping isn't bad either. Can you tell Birdie and I have been experimenting?

That looks good. Because of the warm weather the strawberry vendors are on the side of the road selling flats of Louisiana strawberries. I hate to buy that many but may have to so I can try your cake. I checked in the grocery stores and they are selling strawberries from Mexico.

Have to tell ya all what I did...another "Brain Storm" or is it "Master Plan"...

Our store was having a Buy one Get One Sale...(the word Sale always gets me )...So I bought several different
flavors to try plus a couple of Angel Food Cake Mixes... Now here's what I'm up too

I took several jars...made them look pretty...and took each mix...only 1/2 cup from each...making
each jar with a different mix..and added the Angel Food Cake Mix 1/2 cup..mixing all up and put
a label on the jars with 3 -2 -1 Mug Cake and Directions and also attached a plastic Table Spoon
These are being put in a basket to give as a gift.....

Ok, all don't rush in and say...."That's a Great Idea" cause it's my Frugal effort to give the gift that
keeps giving :o without breaking my piggy bank...and Sales help... :D

Another reason I save jars ...LOL now if I had some extra ribbon it might look mighty pretty too...

Oh...the Milk Chocolate cake mix...not that great ...I tried it..it was rather bland..might have to see how I can doctor it up .

Ok, that's all I have to say... So you see I'm always trying to find something good to share and show others you care :)

Baskets are not cheap..but I'm looking around to see if I can find a better deal..hahaha

God Bless...

I went to Walmart today looking for an Angel Food cake mix and they didn't have a one so had to go to another store. I made the strawberry cake with fresh strawberries and ice cream. Boy is it good. I told Harold my friends tell me how to make all these good things. He said don't stop.

I have now joined the 3-2-1 Cake Club! Ronnie even liked it! (which is surprising, because he says anything cooked in the microwave tastes like butane to him  I gave up trying to understand that one! )

I have a cake question.....(yes this is a recipe that even Tina can make :o ) I know that you use one Angel Food mix plus one additional mix any flavor. Does it matter what the cake mix calls for on the box....for example: eggs....etc? Second question....do the tablespoons need to be level or do generous mounded scoops work as well? Now you understand why I don't cook and bake often, right? Anyway I have been using the more generous (sloppy) method and mistakenly put in three tablespoons of water......and the esult was very moist and very good.....

I have only tried a chocolate/AF and a lemon/AF mix so far. My favorite is mixing two scoops of the lemon with one scoop of the chocolate..... Chocolate lite! :)

Ignore any other ingredients on the cake mix boxes. I suppose as long as you use the "generous" size tablespoon for both mix and water it wouldn't matter but I'm not sure how you can use a "generous" tablespoon of water. lol

Experimenting is permitted too. Will have to try the lemon/choco mix.

321 Coffee like Cake in a mug

Postby Barbzeee » Mon May 28, 2012 9:56 pm

Alrighty here's one for your collection of 321 cake :D

321 Coffee like Cake in a mug

1 Angel Food cake mix
1 White cake mix, mix the two together dry store in an air tight container.

3 Tab. of the dry mix
2 Tab. water

What I added was

1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2tsp. Splenda
1 Tablsp. chopped walnuts. ( make sure you have them small like a crumble)

Mix those three items together and place over the 321 mixture
before it's placed in the microwave. Then Microwave 1 minute
Serve warm with coffee.

Hope you all enjoy this one !

God Bless
