volunteer for Florida state park

we've sent in our applications for Suwannee state park..4 winter months..2014/2015..first timers at this.
the park person just basically said "come on down"..
my husband signed up..maintenance.
me..cabins.
we're early 60's..& not dead yet.. =-O
but has anyone here done this @ Florida state park.?
how'd it go.?
